We start the tour by heading out of the New Orleans French Quarter over to the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods and check out New Orleans first Suburb. This area is home to the largest collection of 19th century homes in America.
The Marigny and Bywater areas are very laid back and bohemian style that most tourists are not aware of.
Riding down Esplanade Ave is like a fairy tale, lined with hundred year old oak trees and 19th century mansions, its no wonder this street is nicknamed "The Avenue of the Creoles" This road will take us directly to the New Orleans fair grounds which is where Jazzfest is held every spring.
We make a stop at St Louis Cemetery #3, It holds some of New Orleans most elaborate tombs, and we take this chance to talk to you about New Orleans Funerals and Burial traditions.
We continue biking over Bayou St. John and into City Park where the largest grove of mature Oak trees in the world lives. You’ll hear the history of the old duels, where swords and pistols brought many proud and charismatic New Orleanians to their last breath. We spend some time here in the shade and point out some key attractions and after a short break for at Morning Call Cafe we continue the tour(Make sure to have some extra cash as they don't accept credit cards)
Treme - a place that music is always playing and food is always cooking, recently made famous by the HBO original series of the same name this is one of the oldest and most unique parts of New Orleans
